چکیده
The study area is located northwest and south of Johanson Lake. bounded to the northeast by the northwcsttrending Lay fault and to the west by the north-northwesttrending Finlay-lngenika fault. The Finlay-lngcnike fault is ii dextral transcurrent fault, and is part of the very prominent strike-slip fault system in north-central British Columbia (Gabrielse, 19X5). This project was undertaken to examine the structures on the cast side of the Finlay-lngenika fault, to provide geological evidence for the dextrid transcurrcnt displacement and to study local deformation associated with it. This report summarizes the results of I50 000.scale geological mapping in July and August 1990 in parts of map sheets Y4DiX and Y4D/9. Fieldwork concentrated on stratigraphic and structural relationships.

The Toodoggone-McConnell Project was inititated in 1996 to map and evaluate a tract of Early Jurassic plutons and surrounding arc volcanic successions of Paleozoic to Jurassic age for base and precious metal mineralization. Bedrock mapping during the first year of the program focussed on a region south of the Finlay River and east of Thutade Lake, documenting local geology near known copper-gol...
متن کاملApplication of Fuzzy Fault Tree Analysis on Oil and Gas Offshore Pipelines
Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) as a Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) method is used to identify basic causes leading to an undesired event, to represent logical relation of these basic causes in leading to the event, and finally to calculate the probability of occurrence of this event. To conduct a quantitative FTA, one needs a fault tree along with failure data of the Basic Events (BEs). Someti...

Introduction: Seismicity is closely related to active Quaternary faults. This attracts many researchers to investigate the quantitative relationships between them. As a new parameter, FMP is defined to quantify earthquake risk.Iran is one of the most active areas of the world in terms of tectonic activities in the Alps-Himalayan belt. One of the characteristics of this belt includes the presence...
متن کاملAn investigation of subfacies and representative microfacies of the Cretaceous Chishan Group in the Wubao fault zone of Gaoyou sag, Subei basin, China
This study aims to identify favorable oil–gas reservoir facies in the Chishan group of the Wubao fault zone (Gaoyou sag, Subei basin, China) using the methods of outcrops and cores observation, granularity analysis, scanning electron microscope, log data, etc. The results suggest that the Chishan group in the studied area mainly develops desert sedimentary system, and contains five kinds of fac...
